The Yanks proved to be too much for the Cubs, as they blew out the Cubbies 10-4 and took two of three games over the weekend.  The Cubs have now lost two straight going into their series with the rival White Sox, who have won two straight.  Big Z against Gavin Floyd will tip off the series Monday night at 7:10 on 35th and Shields.

There was no Masters-like letdown for Rory McIlroy on Sunday.  McIlroy completed his end-to-end dominance of the US Open with a record-setting 16-under par, 8-stroke victory, while shooting 2-under on the final day.

In other news, Albert Pujols and Cardinals fans are going to have a restless night of sleep after Pujols was run into by Wilson Betemit on Sunday.  Pujols had to be lifted from the game with a wrist injury and it is not yet known the extent of his injury.  Any time out would be crushing to the Cardinals, who are battling the Brewers and Reds for the top spot in the NL Central.

The Marlins manager, Edwin Rodriguez, resigned on Sunday.  Rumor has it that 80-year old, Jack McKeon, who led the 2003 Marlins to the World Series (after the Cubs of course), could be stepping in as the interim manager.

Anyways, have a good Monday... Enjoy Cubs/Sox!
